What exactly is the relationship between BulkRegister and Alabanza? BulkRegister's press-releases http://bulkregister.com/pressrelease.shtml
tell of three interesting developments which occurred in August:
1. New Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officers appointed.
2. A sale on domain registration fees (currently until the end of Sept).
3. BulkRegister is moving its hosting to AT&T.
What do these mean, and what do they have to do with Alabanza? Here are the questions that spring to my mind:
1. Some kind of management shakeup is going on at BulkRegister - it's a very young company, and I wouldn't expect to see top-level management changes unless some kind of shakeup is going on - especially two changes occurring so close to one another.
2. BulkRegister is having cash-flow problems at the moment. (Going more deeply into this question leads to the following points - (i) did BulkRegister spend too much on advertising? - it has certainly been spending a lot, (ii) the structure of its sale prices is clearly good for cash-flow in the short term, but at the cost of negative implications for its longer term business, so just how desperate is it?)
3. Bulkregister is currently hosted at Alabanza (according to traceroute). What exactly is going to be moving to AT&T - the entire thing? What does this mean for Alabanza? And what might prompt BulkRegister to do such a move?
I'm about to post a different thread which is more related to Alabanza, but which may tangentially touch on the question of what has prompted BulkRegister to move (if indeed they are moving something from Alabanza to AT&T).
