I want to start my own hosting business in LA (Los Angeles, California).
It will be home-based business, and I don't need to hire additional staff at least about 1 year.
Also, my earnings will not be more than $1000/mo for ar least 6-12 months.

Please tell me where I can find the *official* information about what kind of licence do I need to have (if there is need to have one for such type of business), or there is enough to state the "extra income" and pay tax for it?

Head down to your local business license office, too. They usually have enough free information, if you're willing to read it.

You'll need to be a little more pro-active researching information like this if you expect to be successful in business, IMHO.
