View Full Version : Who is your Merchant?
Artashes 12-10-2003, 09:09 PM | I'll start with the first E-Commerce thread in here. And it comes in the form of a question: Who is your merchant provider?
PaySystems for me. ;)
EDIT: Forgot about Paypal. Oops..
Best, |
inogenius 12-10-2003, 09:11 PM 2Checkout and Paypal. Although right now we have only integrated paypal into our order form. |
Reality Hosting 12-10-2003, 09:13 PM | PSI-Gate here...I love em!
I used to use Internet Secure, they are a great processor too, but not as good as PSI-Gate feature wise. |

PayPal, Moneybookers, 2checkout
Moneybookers is similar to PayPal, but way better than paypal imo. It's a lot cheaper, more secure and they accept really like all banks from all over the world. |

papaj 12-11-2003, 09:38 AM PayPal & Authorize.net (used to use 2Checkout) |
ozzie123 12-11-2003, 10:32 AM Paysystems...
will go for 2CO (for backups) soon because somehow, even paysystems considered my own credit card (that was used when I first sign up) as a fraud credit card....
Geez... weird indeed. |

Best,
Paypal is indeed the easiest to use, but not necessarily the most dynamic one out there :( |
Authorize.net & 2CheckOut (slowly converting out of 2 CO) |
ExtremeIS 12-12-2003, 02:26 AM Echo-inc is who we use.
We also accept PayPal but we recommend you don't rely on paypal as your primary merchant account.
I've heard a lot of talk about Echo having problems in the past but I've never had a single problem with them, deposits are made quickly and fees are very reasonable.

1web2host 12-12-2003, 06:30 PM HI,
We have used in the past various 3 rd party merchants and to sum them up they are all the same, expensive and not to reliable when you need them.
As of now we have set-up our own merchant service. OK this is not cheap but when you run volume it works out better and cheaper over the long run. Plus the positive side of it is that you do not have to worry about the payments or the 3rd party merchant suddenly is gone and left you in the air with 100’s or 1000’s of $ |
brevig 12-13-2003, 01:57 AM We're getting ready to investigate credit card processing.
Otherwise, we are authorized by our bank to conduct entries into the Automated Clearing House. This is our primary means of payment of our providers, as well as cash consolidation and billing of our customers.
To date, I am very happy. And am only considering credit cards because it is an alternative for the person who does not have equity to purchase with.

Aushosts 12-13-2003, 02:46 AM I can't win...
I am trying to get WorldPay to get my merchant account ready - it's been like 4 months allready and they just keep delaying it!!
When I was in pre-sales - They were like oh it takes about 3-5 weeks... 3-5 weeks my but... Try months!! Not overly happy at the moment with WorldPay...
Paysystems - wouldn't accept us!
This is sooo stupid! I need to accept USD - but can't!!
The merchant account with my AU bank took like 2 weeks to setup from signing of the papers... |
We use 2checkout and PayPal and must say 2checkout is areally personal company. However I wish they would get their reoccuring billing setup the same level of PayPal's which is very flexible

ikobo support seem to be non-existent. What is your experience?
Do they have 'recurring billing' for subscriptions?
Thanks. |
