View Full Version : Ummmm, computer or internet or WHT possessed

Now, I'm not sure what is going on here, but WHT is the *only* site that opens for me. Not my site, nor various others I've tried (members from forum, my own sites, etc.). This is the only one that works???

Now, this is odd and I'm just wondering if this is just me or what? I can't get to network trace sites. Eh?

Also, my monitor kinda blinked black then came back on, zooming smaller. Now the whole middle portion is blurry. I don't think it is related (heh), but I'm guessing the monitor is fried??? Is a moderately priced 19" with a Sony Trinitron picture tube.

Strange things...:(

umm Chicken...it's ALWAYS just YOU.... hmmm ... best advise I've got on this hot night in Florida is REBOOT REBOOT

(yet another useless +1 post for Deb)

Probably DNS broke and www.webhostingtalk.com was the only site in your system's local cache.

eeessshhhhh.... I didn't realize Chicken was THAT powerful! As soon as I posted the above message I was banned from the whole Internet!

Thank goodness it decided to finally let me back in.

Now that I realize your true power to "edit me" for being a pain in the butt I think I'll refrain!

May the Internet Gawds shine down on you Chicken :D

No wonder Chicken posts so much here if its the only site that opens for him. :D

Maybe it was lightning and the resultant spikes or surges

On the other hand, do you get frequent lightning in California, like in FL, GA, AL , TX etc. ?.

Or maybe some wire or something that got loose...

Cheers

Sounds like the same stuff that's going on http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21534
Personally, I've experienced no problems.

Acually Chicken has not had his daily dose of WHT so his computer won't let him go elsewhere :D :D

Yes, that other thread seems to be similar. I've not been able to connect to ICQ before, that wouldn't surprise me. It seems to have worked itself out, this morning I can connect elsewhere. Really odd.

Monitor still blurry, *sigh* :(

At least now it matches how I feel at the moment (5 a.m. and I can barely focus anyhow...)

Check with your ISP maybe there is a problem with the connection and you can open WHT because it is in the cache... hmm, I hate these kind of problems..

Good luck

Do the problems you've been experiencing increase after a few beers? :D

Does drinking a case of Guinness do that? Ohhhhhhhh! j/k

No, but it might have something to do with the blurry monitor :scatter:

Said Chicken.

Just seconds later his entire digestive system exploded with a gigantic SPLOOSH.

"Wow", he said, "I never expected that to happen..."

The moral to this story? Simple. Don't drink a full case of Guinness. It isn't good for you. Really. Not even for mods...

Blink was you falling asleep and waking up face against the monitor.
Zooming smaller as you sits back.
Blurry bit is where your face was against the glass.
