Chris Gwynne 12-10-2003, 08:18 AM What makes you professional?

What makes you professional? Not making comments like that, to someone who obviously put some thought into their post... would be a good start!
While your trying to figure out, if I just flammed you, take it upon yourself to read the rules of WHT.
:flamethr: vB Desk
Chris Gwynne 12-10-2003, 11:52 AM My response wasn't that of a flame shoney, it was that of a real question.
TemplateAlien is little over 14 years old so, no I wouldn't consider him professional, I'd consider what he does as a hobby and thus not professional. If he was professional he would be doing this full time, be credited by someone as professional etc.
nicklala 12-10-2003, 01:31 PM These templates are more professional than most I've seen on WHT. If they are 14, they've got real talent.

I agree, keep up the good work kid, ignor vbdesk
Pheaton 12-10-2003, 02:14 PM Yes, ive have personally worked with Matthew Price.
He is a great individual and has an awesome talent. I would highly recommend him to do any type of design work.
Keep up the great work Artico. :)
creid 12-10-2003, 02:54 PM Not a good way to start off on WHT... Kids can be just as or if not more professional then someone along the lines of you. Posting a reply "What makes you think you are professional?"is not done. If you possibly posted your second comment in with your first then it may have ben let go.

I consider these professional because they are above (what I think) is the medium or good, average of designs created.
Thank you for sticking up for me Creid, cMark, Zlatan, and Shoney. :D
Sincerely,
Matthew Price

Reality Hosting 12-10-2003, 07:57 PM I think vB Desk had a valid question, asking in a proper manner. TemplateAlien also answered in the professional manner. I think it's the few posters who decided to jump down vB Desk's throat that are out of line in this thread.

Without the use of an apporpiate emoticon, makes it tough to get the tone of ones thoughts. vB Desk further went on after my post, which leads me to believe they may have some sort of personal thing behind the scenes with TemplateAlien.
I don't think anyone "jumped down his throat"... as you put it.
TemplateAlien is little over 14 years old so, no I wouldn't consider him professional, I'd consider what he does as a hobby and thus not professional. If he was professional he would be doing this full time, be credited by someone as professional etc.
According to vB Desk, you have to be "certified" or over a certain age and do something for a living, in order to deem yourself as a professional. Just as it sounded to me when I first read their original reply, seems to be the case.
Should vB Desk have just hit the back button instead of posting?
Should I or anyone else who posted in this thread, have just hit the back button... Including you? :stickout: That's probably a given, seeing as how most of the post in this thread are off topic. A couple of the post offer hints and suggestions that could be construed as trying to be helpful...
btw... I do feel that TemplateAlien's work is definately suitable enough to be considered "professional work." IMHO :stickout:
TemplateAlien 12-10-2003, 08:32 PM Thanks Shoney. :D
websavvy 12-13-2003, 11:38 AM Those are very nice templates. If I needed one, I'd definitely consider TemplateAlien.
RHShawn 12-14-2003, 11:31 AM Stop trashing his thread would you, this isnt the comments and critisism forum.
Nice designs matt, and good luck with getting clients. With that standard of work it shouldnt be to hard :)
