I live in India, just signed up for paypal. I have 0.00 dollar limit, and 0.00 funds...i tried to add funds from my credit card but that will take a month. As there will be some 4 digit code or something on the billing statement only after i insert those codes i can add funds from my credit card.

I cant use bank account as i dont live in us. I need to transfer 60 bucks to this guy for web development...he doesnt have the means to accept credit card.what to do?? Pls help!

Get him to send a request to you, then you can pay him via your CC :D

Thanx Rajan, Unforunately westerunion asks for us based credit card....and ikobo process seem to take way to long.

Can't you just just use the bank and wire the money to his account? It will 100% work for international bank to USA bank.
It works for me all the time my family send me money.

Maybe if you take out an International Debit Card there may not be any verification by Paypal. These debit cards are accepted where ever Visa/Master cc are accepted. I am not sure though so ask Paypal first.

I know that waiting for the 4 digit code can take a while, however if you log on to your bank accounts websites you should be able to read the code there as opposed to waiting for it and virtually all banks now have online access to accounts, so you should not have to wait for a statement.
Secondly it is against paypal rules to call the bank and request the 4 digit code, but it is not against the rules to ask your bank to read out the last 2 or 3 transactions in your account, ie ask "can you please read to me my last 3 transactions so i can confirm that my accounts are correct"
That way you would receive the code.
Either way you should be able to access your paypal account immediately using one of the above methods.

My bank doesnt have an online facilty, i have a visa card. Its no use emailing paypal cause im pretty sure they will ask me wait for the billing to come home. I tried calling the credit card 24 hrs helpline 3 times, all the 3 times the automated system kept me on wait and then afterwhile disconnected me!! So bascially im totally screwed!

Take my advice and bank wire your designer. I don't see why you can't do that. It is fast and easy. Have your desinger bank account and name, go to your bank transfer the money to your designer account. Thats it... faster than you waiting for paypal now.

Ok, im going to my bank and telling those ******** what i really think fo them and their ******** services.

International transfer can take about a week to be processed, so I would suggest sending your designer a money order. For an amount like $60, most online money order services won't require credit card veryfication.

Otherwise go to your local Western Union office and have them send out a money order or wire transfer. WU wire transfers take less that minutes to arrive at the destination office, money order take around 1 day, depending on what time of day you put in the order.

Pay Pal isn't the solution for everyone! I have used kagi.com in the past for simple transactions before I moved to Pay Pal.
