:wavey: What a first post!
Well Alabanza has locked me out of my DSM for some reson. Tech Support tells me their is nothing they can do until billing or my account person comes in in the AM.
HERE is the Kicker. We have paid for a Full YEAR! :kaioken:
Has this happen to anyone other than me?
This tops my other problem I had with them!
We had to add a 9gig drive. The cost? $150......... Not total but A MONTH. :puke: $150 a month for a 9 gig drive.
If you could buy a 9 gig drive today you should be able to buy 2 for $150.
I am starting to re-think Alabanza but my customer sure would not go for one more move!
I am stuck :bawling:
Any Ideas?

Alabanza isn't exactly know for its bargin basement pricing. If the server is at least up, that would be, errrr... at least better than down :( Can't create accounts though...

It certainly sounds like the way they'd handle a billing problem. Are you sure your payment was valid (that is, charge couldn't have been declined or check couldn't have bounced)?

Normally when you are leasing a dedicated server you'll pay more for any added hardware than you'd expect it pay if you bought it yourself, and it's common for such add-ons to bring a monthly cost. It makes some kind of sense because the provider is supporting that hardware, and will replace it if there's a problem, etc. Certainly $150 a month is a whole lot of money to add one hard drive, but as Chicken pointed out, it's Alabanza. Their business model is to charge relatively high prices and (theoretically) offer services and a level of support that are hard to find elsewhere. Note that I'm not saying they necessarily succeed at it, but that's their justification.

I am not sure why but my DSM is back up and running!
The email did noy say WHY this was done to our account. It just said the SR Tech turned it back on and I would need to get with my account manager in the AM.
They may of seen all of the posts on this BBS!:flamethr:
I am still not feeling real good about the way Alabanza handles things!
I was not contacted in any way to tell me their was a problem with my account! I think this is a must before you lock out a server!
We paid a year in full and have been up and running for 3 months. This as a screw up!
Thanks All!

My account manager said it was a mistake:D
They were deleting some old DSM's and my DSM got the ax!
The main problem I had was the support would not restor the site until they talked with my account manager. They said it would be in the AM before it was resolved.
To me this was unaceptable!
My customers could not get in to their control pannels and my resellers and myself could not only access our control pannels and with that, could not open up new accounts!
After pleading with them they contacted my account manager and they had to restore my DSM from a back up.
It was back up in about 5 hours.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Alabanza. We have had similar problems with them for over a year now...
