Does anyone know whether namecheap allow us to create a hostname so that I can private nameserver?

namecheap allows you to create a nameserver, if thats what you are asking about. Don't really get you.

private nameserver and using their free services you mean?

I mean which feature of nameserver allow me to set nameserver... basically I have a reseller plan with one of the hosting co.... and I would like to create nameserver so that my client will not trace back the hosting co I'm using.... but the hosting co only have shared IP for me...

how do I go about doing it?

How do I create the nameserver?

Get the nameserver ip's of your provider. and register those ip's with your domain registrar with your domain. When you get your client's domain, use the nameserver that you registered with the registrar.
sort of like

Your Provider
ns1.xxxx.xxx - xxx.xxx.xxx.xx1
ns2.xxxx.xxx - xxx.xxx.xxx.xx2

Register with your registrar
ns1.yourdomain.xxx - xxx.xxx.xxx.xx1
ns2.yourdomain.xxx - xxx.xxx.xxx.xx2

may I check with u how do I do it (private nameserver) with namecheap... Actually I has asked my host provider to do it, but he could not find the feature....

So I try to do it by myself and I'm not sure am I right.

1. I went to "Modify Domain" and add in the nameserver my provider gave it to me.
2. After that I went "Nameserver Registration" and I create the nameserver with the shared IP my provider gave to me....

Did I do it correctly or is there any step I miss out....

there is a feature called "register nameserver" with most domain registration providers, should be available at namecheap

get the 2 IPs your provided gave you and register ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com with those IPs

and then change your or your customers domains to ns1/ns2.yourdomain.com and it should work
