Would 150GB/m at ~$200 virtual hosting be a good price?
- Adult content allowed.
- 10 GB diskspace
- 1000 POP3
- 1000 Redirects
- 1000 Mailinglist
- 10 MySQL
- yourname.com
- 500 Subdomains
- Tech Support
- RAW access log
- Control Panel
- Graphical Access Statistic
- PHP
- CGI-bin
- Perl
- Misc. Pre-Installed PHP/perl Scripts (Counter, Random Quotes, Random Page, Download Counter, Whois)

That's a good deal right?

Colocation in a big swedish NOC connected right into the swedish netnode(which is the best connection in scandinavia).
One of the best connections in europe too I would think...

Servers will be:
P4 2Ghz
512 MB REG ECC CL2.5 RAM
SCSI

Thanks in advanced!

Normally we toss these threads though I can't tell who this is (the host portion), nor are there links on the 'www' site, so it can stay.

Perhaps I didn't express myself clearly enough...

I'm not intending to buy this deal.
I'm thinking about offering it as a plan in my future(hopefully) webhosting company.

I'm just asking if the pricing is competetive and reasonable...

I'd say for what you're offering that'd be a reasonable price.

Although I'd personally like to see a lot more ram on thoses servers... a gig at the minimum, more if possible.

IMHO
I think that your prices are too cheap.

You don't will get any proffit with that if you allow adult contents.

We have customers in SH pusshing 10-20 GB daily.

You better check your bussines plan.

Just my 2 ctvs.

Afraid of some competition?

We get really cheap bandwidth...
So we could still make a good sum of money.
I'll admit its tight thoug...
Anyway. we might say $250, who knows?
Still just checking the possibilities.

Thanks for the few responds so far...

the hardware specs will be upgraded when we need to...
Hardware is only a small one time fee anyway.

Virtual Hosting? Why not offering dedicated server? With that price I believe most of the user will prefer a dedicated server.

Besides, what is your NOC connections?

Heya,

At that sort of price range, you can get a dedicated server, and a pretty decent one at that, for $250~, and it would look like a better option for many I think. Then again, there are lots of people who do not know how to admin a server so it'd be a plus for them. Maybe make some other packages with lower bandwidth and HD space too? Good luck!

P.S. You might want to use P-3's aswell, they are cheaper and are pretty much the same performance, from what I have seen, as the P-4's, anyone can correct me if i'm wrong
