**********.com offering 100mbit Line on all servers including Dual Xeon 2.8 GHz.

I visited their site after reading their post in offers section on WHT.

Any one has any experience with them?

Btw, is 100mbit = 100 Mbps?

Thanks.

Never used them, but if that's 100mbit unmetered I would stay away if I were you...

You fail to mention their 1200GB bandwidth limit - They seem to be hosted at Managed.com and have the same plans as Managed.com.

I did not see any BW limit. I will recheck.

Btw, I never heard of them before.

If you look at all the managed.com threads you will find the user Ronikil being supportive og the MSG offerings, these I would say are definately managed.com servers, same specs and the "managed" statement has been pulled straight off their site.

bash-2.05b$ netblock **********.com
Managed Solutions Group, Inc. NET-MANAGED (NET-66-79-160-0-1)
66.79.160.0 - 66.79.191.255
Direct Tech MSG-66-79-165-0-25 (NET-66-79-165-0-1)
66.79.165.0 - 66.79.165.127

Looks like their netblock is part of MSG's.

By the way, there's a big difference between 1200 GB on 100 Mbps and 100 Mbps unmetered. It seems that the majority of hosting places will put you on 100 Mbps, but don't expect 100 Mbps unmetered without paying through the nose. (Edit: 100 Mbit is usually used to mean 100 Mbps, although I suppose it's technically inaccurate -- 100 Mbits is 12.5 megabytes; the "per second" is implied, but I suppose it's theoretically possible that some place would give you 12.5 MB of transfer, calling it 100 Mbit. But wild conspiracy theories aside, 100 Mbit is 100 Mbps. :))

Other providers put servers on 100 mbps connections, doesn't mean it's unmetered or that you can use as much as you'd like.

We have all our servers on 100 Mbps by default.. nothing scammish about it. We can, we do. I haven't checked but others state a bandwidth limit in place.. again.. nothing scammish about it.

Hmm, it seems like a "fly by night" host. And that their web site was just quickly put together from a template. The title of their index page is named Untitled. I'm not sure though. Your choice to go with them or not but the bandwidth thing is legit..

Doesn't seem legit. Is this dedicated or just burstable to 100 mbps?

burstable to 100 mbps?

When i saw that thread, i figured the thread starter meant this. It would be impossible for him to be able to provide 100Mbit dedicated on that price. :)

If these servers are resold Managed.com servers, then this information on their website is blatantly false:

We have a 1000mbit full-duplex fiber connection, directly to OC-48 (2.4Gbps). The Cisco™ GSR12000/7200VXR based network maintains BGP4 redundant connectivity over the XO™ Communications, Global Crossing™, Level3™, Verio™, Cogent™, & MFN™/AboveNET™ Internet backbones, carried over CTSI™, PPL Telcom™, & Verizon™ diverse path fiber.

Managed.com has a single gig line to AboveNet. Up until last week, they had a 100Mbit cap on it. Saying that there are other providers or BGP4 involved is false -- even Managed.com's website doesn't go that far.

Actually that information is directly quoted from the nocster page. Hmm, this really does not sound good, he's selling servers at one data center and giving the details of another. Very fishy..

I have already explained that we previously worked with Burst.net Networks. Now we have moved into new Design and our Web site developer took some information such as the Burst net network information from our old site.

That's why you able to see some misinformation on the new Design site.
We will take care of it soon as possible.

We are currently working with two datacenters one at Nobraska and the second one at ca.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience that was caused following this mistakes in the site.

2)Regards the topic of this thread:
**********.com offering 100mbit Line on all servers. Any one has any experience?

I just want to clear up things:
We don't provide Unlimited 100mbit line ,We provide 100mbit line with 1200GB monthly b/w on all of our Dedicated offers.

Ps: I am very understand that you want to help one each another in the forums, but you have try to clarify things before you are posting "facts" on our web site. You should bring us the possibility to explain things, why and how it happen before you write disputable facts.

I really hope you understand guys.

Thank you.
