Well, I get to point, many problems from start. instant setup turned into 4 days, then, server was improperly setup, needed reformat, then we setup our stuff, the Server4you reformated server again without authorization, We were angry. that was 8 days we paid for down the drain, request for refund or compensation for those days we were unable to use server were denyed.

2 weeks, server was fine. then noticed weird os inssues, opted that our free reinstall was a good idea. Had server reimated. 6 hrs after the immage was supposted to take place, no image or any ticket update was done, i put in ticket to see what was going on, responce was that both primary, and backup drives on image server failed and that server would be images as soon as image server was backup.

Okey, next day, our server was not operational yet. I put in ticket, same responce as day before. i got that responce for the next 6 days in a row. each day i also called, and could not on any of those days get ahold of a phone operater, or any one by email or live chat.

I followed their directions, and Faxed my written (typed). I had 4 pages explaining in detail my problems ect... along with phone records ect....

Any who, i had to fax it, or mail it, soooo, i did both :p

billing time comes around, still charged

I fax my cancelation again, along with the reciept that prints out verifying that fax was sent from first time. I also call.

I try calling every 3 hrs during their business hours for the next 4 days, send email ect...
NEVER DURING THAT WHOLE TIME WAS I EVER ABLE TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE! NOR RECIEVE RESPONCE TO MY EMAIL OR PHONE MESSAGES.

Any who. Call up CC company :) 15 days later, they are blocked on my card and I have refund of all my monies :)

So our lesson, DON'T USE Server4YOU BECAUSE IT'S NOT FOR YOU, OR ME,

It's only good for wipeing my dog's @** with.

That is all :)

Oh, great...cheap providers don't cut it...so reasonable hosts like us still stand a chance. From WHT, I was beginning to think only cost mattered...rest of the aspects seemed worthy of ignoring to most buyers.

I had their most expencive server. I wanted to use it for game servers, because of the awesome ping. Their network is exelent, had the second lowest CS server on Game Spy network, until the server crashed, and no come back.

Oh well. Learned my lesson. Host the servers off my own connection :P

Did you forget to add your sig to the first post, or remove it from the last one? It's probably a good idea to disable your sig if you're going to use WHT to bash competitors.

So what lousy things can you tell us about your company that led to your decision to try Server4You instead of yourself? :D

Seriously though... thanks for the insightful, well-written, unbiased review.

To be fair... we have a web design client that use them and they have had no problems as yet....

We wanted to offer game servers. Our mini datacenter only has connectivity of 3megabits via Bonded T1's, with backup of dsl, and 128kbps isdn.

Our network is exelent for standard hosting, forums, backup servers, and any other non bandwidth intence applications, but not game servers.

Server 4 you's pings to us were between 15-25 ms, exelent ping. friends in Canada were pinging them at 39-60 ms. When server was auctually running, game servers were exelent on their network. However, their support royally ****

but about hosting them myself, all i need is a nice t3 and i would be set :p

Just need some money to get that T3 :p
