Yeah Goa was a Portugese colony for a long time and according to this site D'souza is definitely orinated from Portugal

Definitely Portuguese, and it does sound like it's brazillian Portuguese. the " D' " in Portuguese names was established by the brazilians that share the "mother tongue"
