I ordered 10 domains to be appraised and shortly after their system started sending me 10+ confirmations a minute for each domain. One would think this would be urgent but that was 6 days ago.
They also said the domains would be appraised within 2 days.
Thankfully, I have no domains registered there.. heh

I do not think they handle the appraisals themselves. Perhaps you can contact the partner who does the actual appraisals

Not sure who does. I created the ticket 6 days ago.

... but why would you order appraisals from them (or anybody) in the first place? I guess I have posted this more than once before, but there simply ain't no such thing as professional domain appraisal!

And RegisterFly is not a place I would want to be using or visiting too often to begin with. Seems lately they have been getting a lot of negative press here, rightfully imo.

That's like saying I have a garage sale and don't know how much my grandma's vase is worth. Could be a quarter, could be a hundred, could be a hundred thousand. ;)

Because domain names are too subjective and intangible. A physical object has characteristics like age, manufacturer, condition, etc. The beauty of a domain name is really in the eye of the beholder. What's gold to me may be coal to you.

Exactly, appraisals are an opinion whether you deal with items you're appraising every day or not. Once a domain is appraised, I consider that an experienced opinion depending on who does it. A domain name can have just as many characteristics as a physical object, just ask the owners of jackpot.com, which a friend owned way back when. :)
