is it possible to get more then 2mbit connection in a home when you live in the uk? if so, where?

Im in the UK but I think the only thing is if you get a business line.
I havent seen it advertised anywhere for a line higher than 2mbit but I know you can get a lot faster if you want a business line, but the prices are FAR too high I think, not worth it unless you really need a fast connection

easynet do 8Mbit ADSL. If you live within 20 miles of any major city in the UK you should be able to get up to a 45Mbit leased line. These cost fortunes tho. In the london area you can get much faster for cheaper.

To get 8Mbit you have to be practically living in the exchange, which is a bit of a shame :( You also have to be on an exchange that has been unbundled by one of the alternate telcos e.g. Easynet, Bulldog etc.

Unless you're a business, then they stick a fibre in for you. Burstable bandwidth is lovely :)

looks like im gunna have to go business then if i want a faster connection for the future :P

im sure if i give it 10 years prices will come down and new plans will come out :P
