I have realplayer 8+ and lately it keeps nagigng me to upgrade to RealONE,that isnt a problem,the problem is,REAL ONE WONT RUN!!! It says it d/l it,but nothing happens...

My question is,is thier a registry edit or something i could do,to disable auto update permantly??

Try unistalling it in Control Panel|Add/REmove Programs. Then, download it here and reinstall the .exe: http://www.real.com/ (14 day trial)

PS Windows Media Player comes with Windows.

If you get sick of realplayer alltogether (I did - those nag screens and other stuff were a pain so in the end I uninstalled it) - try real alternative. This is a lightweight player that'll play real files.

just did a google search and http://www.dvdrhelp.com/tools?tool=317 has a link to it.

Probably doesn't have all of the features of realplayer but it seems to have worked well for me so far and is much less annoying.

Gah... Realplayer. I hate that nagging/bloated software.

real alternative is great

real player sucks. it has at present more then 100 proccess running in background on my box

rndal.exe

that belongs to its installation folder.

do not use realplayer i have uninstalled it and now i will install the alternative player. can somebody tell real player to stop spying on people privacy ?
