i cannot get to my server via:

1) SSH
2) ping
3) tracert (obviously)
4) WHM

i cannot get to site5.com either. any thoughts? i also submitted a support ticket, but got no auto-response, so i am thinking there are some connectivity issues.

stormwire.com is not currently hosted on our site 5 box, so that would not be an issue.

it was down for about an hour though....

thanks folks.... :)

yes it was indeed down and now i think they are having issues, again at the moment.
Has anyone heard why and what is up/gone wrong/soon to be fixed?

I have been told that NAC is working on issues "directly related to the WTC events from last week. This has had the effect of taking out their router."

This from a friend at Hosting Matters.

They aren't entirely down, but our servers in LAX, Phoenix, and Seattle are all having repeat problems trying to get in and out to our pwebtech server...

For 5 minutes one of the paths works, then it quits working, etc.

In this thread:

"Two of nacs oc3 where cut out by the WTC disaster. Telehouse NYC on broad st about a block away, where there is no power and they arn't allowing fuel trucks, the generators ran out of fuel. Those two oc3s to NYC went down. Leaving the OC3 to MAE-East threw the OC3(soon to be oc12) to newark. The Level3 connection at Newark the primary provider there, was having issues. " on Saturday related to a 20 minute outage we had Friday...

I suspect more WTC related problems...

The problem cleared up for us at 1:00pm Pacific Daylight Time. However, http://www.nac.net/ is having problems for last 40 minutes... "server too busy".

I was told that alot of the traffic is being routed through the UK. Yes, really. And that the problems were due to what happened in NYC. Diesel generators ran out of fuel and no fuel trucks allowed in that area.

level3 is running through london however this affected customers that are not being routed through level3

Ah so, thanks for clarifying.
