Just wondering how long I have to wait until I'm able to transfer a domain. I just had a friend register a domain name over at directi for me through his reseller's account about a week ago because I didn't have my bank information with me where I was staying at the time. Now I'd like to transfer the domain over to my GoDaddy account where I keep most of my domains. I have heard that you have to wait 60 days before you can transfer a new domain over to any registrar, is this true?

Yes, if you want to transfer a domain, the domain has been registered with your current registrar for at least 60 days. (ICANN regulations require that a domain name has to be registered with the current registrar for 60 days before it can be transferred to another Registrar.)

Ah crap. I should've waited as I have no idea how to use this API and only plan on using it for the period that I have to. I should've waited until I got home, but I wasn't sure that the domain would still be available. ;p
