If I own a domain name that I don't want anymore, how do I go about selling it, and how do I transfer it from me to another person?

Acroplex 12-02-2003, 06:23 PM Try these forums: Domains Offers & Requests here at WHT :D http://domainstate.com http://namepros.com http://dnforum.com (requires fee) There is another one but I am not allowed to mention it because I run it :D To transfer a domain you usually create a new account within the same registrar and move it to it; then you give the username & password of the new account to the new owner. Bashar 12-02-2003, 08:52 PM you can also try Domain Name Offers and Requests (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=55) www.afternic.com www.sedo.co.uk www.greatdomains.com and running a page on the domain with this domain is for sale! for $x,xxx, xxx thingie :D obviousl 12-03-2003, 08:57 AM also try domaingator.com ;) silhouette 12-03-2003, 09:03 AM Originally posted by Bashar ...and running a page on the domain with this domain is for sale! for $x,xxx, xxx thingie :D I like that.... Does that work as a good medium for domain sales? Acroplex 12-03-2003, 03:07 PM Originally posted by dmaven What about auctions like ebay? Does that work as a good medium for domain sales? Sometimes yes. The majority of my domain sales are done through the forums mentioned above or via direct sales. nameslave 12-04-2003, 09:26 AM If you have some generic or 3-character domains, I would recommend GreatDomains.com. Yes, their suggested prices are a bit high; but with the end-user market, you can never tell. I've sold more than a few names via them before totalling more than US$10,000. |
