I ran a hosting service. I have many business customers around the world who like to send and receive large files by email . They said "I need a lot of mailspace (at least 10MB) because people're gonna email me large attachment everyday". Of course, they're gonna have problem downloading such a large message by POP3 client which is a waste of bandwidth (incomplete download) and start to annoy support people.

I provide them multiple FTP and ask them to provide senders an alternate ftp for upload large message to their webspace instead of attachment but they're too stupid to do that.

If I offer email forward only (no POP3 ) or limit Message size / INBOX space, or bill them for support/bandwidth , they should complain and move to other hosting provider :(

I certainly hope you're a little less condecending when you answer support enquiries. If they prefer to send them via attachment then let them. They're paying you after all. It's your job to make sure that they can do so.

Some people 'are' too. . .uh. . .er. . ."technologically challenged" to use FTP. But you , as a host, should be more considerate.
If support is a problem for you; maybe you should consider a different line of work.
