SoftWareRevue 09-17-2001, 02:58 AM I think it's "just their trick to grab as many as valid email addresses" urm . . . could be wrong. Hope so  SI-Chris 09-17-2001, 03:44 AM Even if it's not a trick, I have a feeling you'd submit your e-mail address there and still see the same amount of spam regardless. So why bother? akashik 11-13-2001, 02:42 AM Just an update on this thread.. After reading it I decided to give a go on a hotmail account I have that's been buried under with spam. While it's still getting junkmail, it seems to be a bit less (30% or so) since putting it through their site. While not an iron clad guarantee, I get the feeling it's actually somewhat effective (if only to reduce the junk a bit). I'm not confident in them enough to put a REAL address through there yet, but the hotmail account does seem to be getting hit less than it was a week ago... your milage may vary Greg Moore rockergrrl 11-13-2001, 01:32 PM MIss Cleo keeps on spamming me.... at all my different email addresses I have.... an I think with her mailing list you have to use removeyou.com (I can't remember).. If she was such a psychic and a shaman... She would know I don't like her spamming me... and no I'm not going to call her.... grr..... |
