Playstation 3 concept image has hit the web, however it's unlikely the image was originated from Sony...

First thing I thought of was a toaster. :D

But looking at it some more, it looks pretty snazzy. :)

You'd think these systems would come standard with wireless controllers now-a-days. Everybody has them!

But yeah, that looks like it should be on your kitchen counter, not your entertainment center

Best of both worlds -

You and ya mates are all playing some cool game, and Fred says, "u want honey on your pancake?" No need to head off to the kitchen to make your pancakes!!

Of course, sticky fingers and game controllers never mix. :D

Yeah, if they could come up with wireless controllers that WORK on a regular basis. I bought one for the PS2 and found that in certain games it didn't work properly. So I returned it and tried a different brand, and it TOO had problems with some games. Never had a moment of trouble with the standard wired controllers.

Bah.

Doesn't look to bad...but not to good either.

Ditto, Kim. But also, the wireless controller made by Nintendo for the GameCube worked about 30 feet away for me. If Sony could develop something, I'm sure they could perfect the technology.

why don't they all (all the system makers, Nintendo, Sony, etc) get together and build systems that can be stacked ontop each other.

Their first image of PS3 looked like a freaking block of holey cheese.

hmm, well, it sure looks unique for a gaming system ;)

I'm not sure if many will accept it as a gaming system though hmmm

I think its cool, but yeah under the cd drive, you can prolly put your pancakes in. (They decided to implement that instead of wireless controllers)

I think it looks cool though

The image itself has been around for quite a while, since June, in the archives of a French graphic artist's website. The image was created several months ago by a 23 year old French, graphic artist by the name of Julien Vanhoenacker, a.k.a kanex. Vanhoenacker apparently originally showcased the PS3 image at his small design studio site which can be found by visiting: http://www.omind.net/ Julien does not work for Sony and the image is not an official concept image.
