I submitted a ticket week before the billing cycle ends. I asked them to cancel my license and not to charge me again.

Guess what? They charged me again and I didn't receive any reply from them.

Oh well, I will just change the credit card number now ...

Linuxguy- Charge-backs are not the first response *anyone* should do. Much less over something as small as 1 month service of what $15-$25? It can have a very negative impact on the merchant. Giving such poor advice really looks badly upon you!!

Null - Given the above, you failed to follow procedure to cancel an account. You must allow 30 days notice, not 7!
As for the ticket, did you login and view ticket to see if there is a response and you just didn't get an email on it?

There is no response at all, I would not complain if I did receive any message from them. That's the problem.

And no, I don't want to do a chargeback. $15 is not a lot of money to mess with and I'm complaining only about support, not the software.

Not that it's a good excuse, but they're probably busy trying to get the demo version of their 4.1 release out to the public. They had told me in an email they were going to release it on Dec 1, but as of yet, it's not out.

Greetings,

After reviewing your account, null, we have found that your lease renewed on the 28th. You requested a cancellation on the 25th, but you were still invoiced and billed. We are making adjustments to our cancellation procedure so it will be a "self-service" option to cancel in the next version.

Fact: There are no refunds on leases. But, if you requested a cancellation before your renew date, we will honor your request if all installations of ModernBill have been removed from your server.

We are a fair company. How about you come directly to us before you post to a public forum? We have no problems refunding your $14.95.

Null, please post back to ticket KQZ-97699, and we will refund your last invoice.

Warm Regards, and Happy Billing!

Null,

One more observation...

Your request was posted right before a U.S. Holiday (Thanksgiving). Our whole team was on holiday vacation most of last week.

Warm Regards,

As a paying customer it can get very confusing when you don't receive a reply from a company. As I see, you have a valid reason, Holiday :), but of course the customer was unaware. Sometimes you feel better if you talk about it with others, thus, this forum.

Can't wait for MB v4.1 :D

Well looks like the issue should be resolved. Null, if you didn't get the refund in the end, you can contact us or me directly via PM to open the thread again then.
