Hello,
I recently changed hosts..and I just noticed that my new one doesnt use awstats which was something I really liked about my old one.

Is there a way I can add it myself?

Thanks,
Jeff

You won't be able to add it into cPanel as that requires root access. I'm sure if you ask your host they should be able to add it for you as it doesn't really take up any additional resources.

Actually, Awstats does take a pretty large server load. It it resource hungry. Pretty Stats, but truely takes up to much resources.

It causes a short spike when the users acesses the stats, however it's nothing too serious. Other than that, I haven't noticed any thing with it.

If you have 1000 users on a server and 100 access it at the same time....

Its just something that could possibly do harm, that is not needed, so most hosts don't install it.

I've found that it really spikes out on the updates and no so much with user access. Great stats/program though..
