I recently noticed ahi.net hardselling their "automated hosting" technology. I also found that ahi.net have MANY subsidaries (actually resellers?), such as leadhost.com, hostapex.com, cavendo.com, hostgateway.com, optimalhost.com...etc.

The one common features of all these hosting company is LOW PRICE but LARGE STORAGE. (e.g. 1000mb + 50GbTfr for $14.95). I have heard of a bad experience about cavendo.com in this forum. But have any of you heard of these hosts? Any comments from existing users?

I really suspect how they can offer such packages. I also wonder if their so-called automated technical support really solves problems.

I am really lured by their big storage.

It's doubtful unless every problem falls within the realms of the canned letters they use. From a personal experience with bots it's a frustrating experience. Anyone who's had to deal with MSN's 'live' tech support will agree with me on that one.

Also I would presume if no-one's watching the support e-mails, then nothing will get fixed? I can't say if it's true, but not having someone at the wheel is a bit of a scary thought to me.

Automated tech-support sounds really nice, but I can't see how this can be used without "human" tech support to augment this. If they offer only automated tech support, my guess is you may run into problems some times and never be able to get the right answere
