Is anyone passing through here in the reserves? Anyone get any word on callups in the last couple of days? I've tried to get in touch with a buddy of mine who's in as a Captain, but it looks like he's already been given orders and isn't around for me to pick his brain about what's going on.

Actually, I was called in a few years ago when the atrocities in Yugoslavia where going on, I wonder how far this one is going to go.

It will go badly, I think.

I also think that you wouldn't be called up in quite the same manner as my buddy when that order comes down. :)

There was a guy at webhostdir that's apparently been called up so it appears it's happening for sure. Beyond that I can't say what the procedure is. I get the feeling they'll be acting more as a 'Home Guard' that going overseas though.

I read an article in the paper on the way home from work on either friday night or last night that said that they were planing on using some reserves as armed guards on planes.

Don't know if its true or not though. Theres a lot of speculation going on at the moment.

One of my best friends is a Navy Reserve officer. We were watching a movie last night here and his cell phone rang. He has 2 weeks.
