I haven't had time to mess around with it a lot, but the text-on-curves function is incredibly easy to use. That's all I noticed, but I'm sure there's plenty more useful things.

You can have layers in folders in any version :/

Anyways, personally dont pay to upgrade, i didnt think it was worth the money personally......ps7 does the job just as well.

But not in subfolders. In CS you can have subfolders.

Subfolders + curved text (very easy, and fun actually) is enough to motivate me to upgrade. Since you're "About to purchase", just go for it. I think it's worth it :agree:

why dont you download the trial version and see? or is there no trial version?

to me CS is much better but then again it still does the same sort of effects, but my vote would deffinantly go to CS :D

but like somone said in the other post, mayaswell wait until version 9 comes out lol

Nope, there isn't a trial. They should really release one, but oh well.

There's a bunch of reasons to switch and videos on their website though: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/main.html

I was to disapointed with the 6-7 upgrade that I am waiting till buying this, it just doesnt seem worth it. Ill try a "friends" version one day but I doubt it will make me upgrade from 7. meh I just wish there was a professional grade alternative to adobe:(

Personally, i prefer to go with what people say :

"If it isn't broken, don't fix it"

Stick with PS7 until you NEED to upgrade

i dont think theres even a need to upgrade from photoshop 5 lol, school I used to attend had it on some old macs and I could do same thing on it as ps 6, that was before 7 came out, maybe im missing something tho :/
