And does it *call* you or make a sound or popup when someone is talking?

Yes you can. You can have multiple chat windows running at the same time.

When someone initiates a chat a ringing sound is made.

Additionally, Can you invite people?

You can pop up a chat window on the visitor's browser if that is what you mean.

You can also have an image scroll across the page they are viewing, to initiate the chat. They implemented that so that you could initiate with people, even if they have a pop-up blocker turned on. (i think)
