Alright Im in the process of setting up my webhosting company. Its basically about 50% complete. Ive been desperately looking for a good dedicated server that BASICALLY offers the following:

Windows 2000 Server
Intel Pentium 3 processor
500mhz or more
Control Panel
99% Uptime
Full ASP Support
SQL Database
20 gig or more transfer

I am willing to go up to 400 bucks a month. This company is really new and money is TIGHT! So if you guys have any suggestions please post it here. Ive already checked out some of the top webhosts and they kill you with the set up fees, also their plans arent detailed so I have no idea what kinda technology im getting (such as ASP, CGI, PHP, how man pop emails, database type etc..)

Well, in this forum, you won't be getting many requests. People are scolded if they give you requests here :) Anyway, if you are buying a dedicated server, you should know how to install PHP, MySQL etc. This comes with the territory.

He didn't ask for offers ('requests' as you put it), though I'll mention that we do have a Requests Forum below this one if you would like to consider some bids from some of the hosts the frequent this forum. You may also find some offers posts already by skimming through that forum.

Hi,

You could check out RackMy.com. We have a W2000 server there and the support/performance is really good.

Most of the time we make requests during what will be middle of the night in the US (We are based in India) and get fast responses.

Our deal was for a custom PIII 933 with 512 MB RAM + SCSI
and the price is really reasonable and cheap if you take into account the support.

If you dont feel like investing in a server right now, you can get some shared accounts and then upgrade into a dedicated server.

Cheers,

Matra

You might check http://atomichosts.com .

I have not used them and do not have knowledge of their service.

However they offer very attractive bandwidth rates for their hosting plans.
