anjam 11-29-2003, 12:18 PM Hey, just saw an advert for it at the top of this forum, been checking it out and it looks pretty decent but never heard of them. Thing is i would consider using it if perhaps you had to pay but because its free its making me a bit worried something so good looking and functional for free... that cant be right! Can it?
brevig 11-29-2003, 03:44 PM lol, I've actually thought the same. I'm really tempted to try it, just that I have web-based email on my server for myself to use....but multi-account checking.... oooooooo
Last I checked Horde couldn't do that. ;)

anjam 11-29-2003, 05:40 PM Yeh man looks awesome what u think? You gonna go for it?
pycoder 11-29-2003, 06:20 PM I'll try it out! I aint scared! RAWR! ;)

Yeah, I'm just trying it on my extra email accounts(Hotmail, Yahoo, etc..).
anon-e-mouse 11-30-2003, 03:51 AM I use it for my mod emails. It works fine but occasionally has some buggy moments, like logging you out when you are doing something. Also on occasions no mail arrives, but if you log into another mail program the mail is coming just fine. I got all yesterdays mail finally delivered today. But for the most part it is fine :) Give it a try.

Some good things do come free. :D IMHO, the best free webmail/pop3/IMAP provider is fastmail.fm
They are great and they are FREE. So just because it's free doesn't mean they'll be bad.
anjam 11-30-2003, 04:47 AM Yeh i might give it a try but thing is if its buggy its no good i need my emails asap. Hmmmm we could all always just use it for customer support lol. There could be a lot of unhappy ones if we if we did and it screwed up lol.
reanncw 11-30-2003, 06:29 AM They download emails depending on how often you login to your account in FuseMail. I check them pretty much, and they get downloaded instantly. Very nice :)
anon-e-mouse 11-30-2003, 06:41 AM On a good day I am logged in 16-18 hours day and receive mail, but once it starts getting buggy, which isn't all that often seems to be when the mail stops. Since I posted above I was automatically logged out 5 times, and mail stopped coming. But I am still receiving mods@ mail elsewhere.
Once they get it all sorted, it will be a great program and not seeing ads all over your browser is a bonus :)
Hi
Anybody use FuseMail here?
I just created account null [at] fusemail.com :D and wonder how reliable is there system.
Please comment.
Thanks
SoftWareRevue 12-01-2003, 10:29 AM I don't use it. But I know many do. And they seem to think it suits their needs fine. I'm sure one will be stopping in soon and telling us all about it. :)
I just noticed that there system is a little slow. Browser hangs on webmail.php file and I can't even send email from my account.
anjam 03-03-2004, 06:38 PM Okay so its a paid for service now. Whose using it and what do you guys think to it?
Jeremy Johnstone 03-03-2004, 07:01 PM I am using it myself and have gotten almost to the point where I couldn't be without it. It's nice always having all of my email where ever I am instead of just my new mail.
anjam 03-03-2004, 07:14 PM True. So true.

FYI: In the future, (After April 2004) they will no longer offer their free account.
Hope that helps some people who have grown attached to that mail system.
reanncw 03-04-2004, 04:35 AM Yeah, i fnd it so nice, that i'm upgrading :) . I suppose thats what they opened fusemail at the first place. Heh.
anjam 03-04-2004, 05:35 AM I think i might upgrade my account and start using it. Its just such a good all in one product.
bryanh 03-11-2004, 01:01 PM Thank you for all of your feedback. We have been working hard to release the Fused Platform product to ISPs, webhosting companies, etc. It is a outsourced email platform.
We are eager to hear your feedback on features that you would like to see included...
To check out the work in progress use the following test accounts, the skin in use is a bit horrid, we did a quick color replace in photoshop to test. Feel free to change anything...
user: platform (platform admin. account)
pass: abc123
user: subtest3 (email account setup by platform admin)
pass: abc123
Topics of interest for your feedback:
* Provisioning new accounts/suspending/terminating, currently this is available via the web, any interest in an API or integration with CPanel or other hosting applications?
* We are planning on billing the platform admin account only and not branding billing as email is usually included already with their ISP or webhosting account. Good idea or bad idea?
* Pricing has not been worked out as of yet. Ideas?
* Skin system, we are planning on building a few default skins that you can modify to your taste to make it much easier to build a branded skin. Ideas?
* Support, we will have ticket support, help, and contact us linked directly to the URL of the platform admin's choice.
* Customizing features, any interest in further limiting the features available to a certain plan beyond the fusemail plans?
We welcome anyone who wishes to provide feedback on this developing product.

anjam 03-11-2004, 01:41 PM Looks good, when do you plan to release the Fused Platform product?
bryanh 03-11-2004, 01:45 PM anjam, within a couple weeks initially maybe sooner. It really depends on the feedback that we hear on this product to tell us how much work we still have to do.
