Anyone previously using Nomodo.com for domain registrations would have received an e-mail on August 24 informing you that the service was being transferred over to their parent company, Virtual Internet - probably better known as vi.net.

Nothing wrong with an e-mail like that, except someone over at vi.net must have thought it'd be real convenient to simply insert all their customers' e-mail addresses - over a thousand of them (an estimate based on a cut & paste into MS Word...an average of 3 addresses per line, 60 lines per page, 6 pages) - into the "To (Recipient):" field and then send it out. That's right folks, anyone who's received this e-mail now has a list of every Nomodo customer's name/e-mail address.

Also, while checking out the vi.net control panel I found out that they now charge 25 pounds a year for renewals, compared to the previous Nomodo charge of 6 pounds a year.

Oh well...looks like another $16 headed Stargate's way real soon...
