Could somebody point me to a decent tutorial on how to make animated gifs in imageready?

I've made a basic bannen design, but I would like to add some animated text and just can't figure out how to do it in ImageReady. I make a frame and then select new frame and remove the text from frame 2, but is somehow also then removes the text from frame one.

Thanks.

Finally found the anwer with google :)

What you think of my first banner:

No more paying for banners for me. It's far more fun doing it yourself.

It's up again. Server went down :D

Ow joy, after it came back up the control panel software was foobarred, so now the entire server is in pieces that I can't pick up.

Looks like you'll have to wait until another day to see the banner.

Got DirectAdmin working again, now uploading all webpages again, so it should all be back up later today.

My designing skills aren't half bad, it's just the first time I made an animated banner ;)

I just used to pay other people to do them because I couldn't be bothered to find out how to animate gifs. Next step is flash when I find the time.

I guess I can screw back the size to sub 27kb with a little optimizing. I just saved it all at highest quality.

P.S. Surprised you didn't notice Bannersmall, it was inspired by one of the banners in your own portifolio :

:D

Guess they all start to look the same after you've done the first few hundred.

definitly, You have the Talent, good colour choices, all you have to is reduce the file size

When you Export from Image ready use this settings
File : gif
method : adaptive
colour : 32
lossy : 0

File size will be lower with those settings.

Thanks, using those settings knocked it down to 22 kb :)

nice banner work, but you ought to try it in flash

you'll get a really small size and a chance to fool around with some serious effects

maybe you switch to banners altogether, you never know :-)
