Please leave biased opinions at the door.
Let's not mention ethnicity, religion, or nationality in this thread.
Thank you for your cooperation.

I would like to talk about the many deaths. But from the perspective of a human being; location, planet Earth.

An assault against mankind is, an assault against mankind.
We as a people should be outraged at such atrocity. I believe we all are in shock.
I personally knew no one that worked in the World Trade Center, or Pentagon, or any of the planes involved, or any of the emergency workers involved, or anyone else I've failed to mention. But, there has not been one day since the attack I have been able to live without tears.
September 11, 2001 will be remembered for all time as an attack on humanity. An attack against civilization.

I have a heavy heart. Saddened at the loss of all the innocents.
The children who expect Mommy and Daddy home from work.
The spouse who failed to say, "I love you" as the other walked out the door one last time.
The Mothers and Fathers who thought, "Oh I'll phone my kid 'next' week. There's always time."
The survivors who ask, "Why me? Why did I live while others perished?"
And, of course, the people that were going about their daily lives whose lives were ended.

This is a sad time for humanity.
My condolences to everyone.
You do not need to be directly involved to be a victim.
There are millions of victims.
I am sorry.

To be honest, the constant forms of this really sadden me. Recently, among many other incidents like this, a pizza place is Israel was bombed resulting in the loss of 10-15 people (I can't recall off hand). I remember thinking how horrible *that* was. Those people just stopped into a restaurant to get a quick bite, their last.

This past week, all I can think about is that it would have been horrible if the hijackers took control of *one* plane and downed it (crashed it, blew it up, etc.). It would have been shocking and terrible.

But no, that wasn't enough, and there were 4 planes. If the hijackers had just downed (crashed, blown up, etc.) them it would have been an absolute, unprecedented event.

This affects everyone directly. I guess the pizza bombing saddened me because heck, I could have been there on vacation and was hungry. Any one for any country could have just been on vacation and stopped into the trade center to look around, visit someone they know, etc.

This is the first day I've been able to go to work and not thought about it most of the day. Has been quite distracting to say the least.

I don't wish what happened in NY on anyone, even the civilians of a country that supported these monsters. I have to be better than that, and more intelligent, and know that it is wrong to kill them, no matter what they think, because it just is.

What can you say when people, supposily similar to you and me, take over jumbo jets and fly them into two of the tallest landmarks in the country (as well as other buildings, and the ground)? I really don't know what to say...

down them? Even though the U.S. could have shot the planes down they didn't. Think about it, yes it is a way to save lives in the WTC and save the landmark as well. Would families of the people onboard the planes say oh sure go ahead shoot my family down. Thats why the U.S. didn't intervene cause they would have had much more blame against them.

I think you misunderstood what I posted. I'm not talking about the US shooting down planes. I'm talking about terrorists crashing planes, downing them.

I've reworded the post above to be clearer, hope that makes more sense?

Out of respect for 'all' victims, I again respectfully request restraint in posting.
Again I ask, "Let's not mention ethnicity, religion, or nationality in this thread."
A tragedy has occurred. Let us not pass blame at this time.
But rather offer sympathy to the world.

As a member of the human race, I am ashamed for us all.
