I am looking at ValueWeb (http://www.valueweb.com) for my web hosting provider.
I did a search and founda few people that liked them. I am waiting for a response from the sales staff (it appears they have closed the sales dept for the weekend) regarding a few questions.
They seem to have reasonable prices and they have all the services I want in the Standard Hosting account.
I am wondering if there are any current customers who have any experiences with them and whnat they think.

Previous customer here. (I'm not following you around. I swear.) :)
We used ValueWeb after leaving The Horrible Host That Shall Not Be Named. ValueWeb was quite good. Nice support people the three times we had to call them. Good features. Pleasant staff. At the time, good plans. I've taken a look since then and I don't really care for hem (or setup fees), but YMMV. I'd rate them highly.
Annette.. Notice the first two initials of the phrase you just coined and how they matched? Yikes! :)

Why do you think I picked it? ;)

(Ok, wasn't going to ask, so as not to throw this off into a tangent, but BC did that already so I might as well...)
You don't really care for "them" I presume (either that or "hemp" :)), ... but "YMMV" ???? What's "YMMV" ?
I hope this isn't like ROTFLMAO (which I admit had me stumped my first few months on the net).

Arg. It was late when I typed that. :)
It is "them", and YMMV is "your mileage may vary".
I happen to think ValueWeb is a fine company. They were never less than gracious when we had to contact them, and refunded our unused fees without prompting when we got our own box. They are also in Florida, so really the only thing to worry about is hurricanes. :)

Umm, I was kind of wondering that myself but didn't want to ask. :) Thanks for the clarification.

Hey buddy! I've seen your website... after seeing that pic of you in the chicken suit I don't think anything I can say or do will change that outcome *grin*
By the way, do you still have it? Can I borrow it?? :)

Yep, still have it though it might be a bit stinky from last year (have to remember to air that puppy out before Oct 31). Nothing like running around with a shag carpet covering your whole body. Makes one feel for their pets a bit.
I'll also mention what a babe magnet a chicken suit is. The women love to run their fingers through the fur. You think I am kidding, but I can tell you first hand, chicken suit=you'll get lucky that night. :)

i used to use valuweb. i left them because of speeds. they were slow. this was also before the "upgraded" their noc and stuff. support wasn't too bad. oh yeah, one thing i didnt like was the lack of a shell on the standard account.
