Unix is generally the way to go unless you have a specific reason to use windows. misslove 11-24-2003, 05:56 AM i love windows:cool: henhen 11-24-2003, 07:14 AM hehe i have my own server for unix. i want to try windows.. =) can someone refer me to some company ?? IHSL 11-24-2003, 09:01 AM Originally posted by aliston Why windows? Unix is generally the way to go unless you have a specific reason to use windows. Totally untrue. Whilst Unix has it's advantages, so does windows.. And the guy wasn't looking for conversion, he was looking for suggestions. I'd suggest a quick search on WHT with a tag related to solid windows hosting. That, or visit google and pull a search on win2k/win2k3 hosting henhen 11-24-2003, 09:27 AM great! i'll try to search.. but can you give me some webhost name? that has a great service & solid ! Priyanka 11-24-2003, 09:51 AM Hi henhen, could you please specify what are your requirements. henhen 11-24-2003, 10:03 AM my requirements ? maybe a standar windows hosting features but this webhost must be solid & specialist in windows hosting. i prefer windows 2003 web edition server for me. :) Tazzman 11-24-2003, 10:07 AM [WRONG FORUM] anon-e-mouse 11-24-2003, 10:24 AM Just a note, henhen is looking for suggestions, not offers. henhen 11-24-2003, 10:31 AM heheheh anon-e-mouse would be right! im only looking for a suggestion which company i should choose for a windows hosting iration 11-24-2003, 05:52 PM If you're looking for windows hosting I would suggest the following as I have had an account hosted at one time or another with them: Brinkster: Brinkster is good but they are still on Windows 2000. I myself am still waiting for them to update to the new version of Windows. Discountasp.net: I signed up an account with them in July and to my surprise they are pretty good. One thing that I have to say about this company is that their control panel is really cool and they do stay on top of the lastest Microsoft features CrystalTech: CrystalTech is also another good hosting company. They have a ton of plans which at first confused me. The plans that are more expensive are the plans that are of any real value, at least thats my opinion. Also, it took them awhile to get to Windows 2003. They are not that fast at launching new features. Those are my opinions. lookinforW2K 11-24-2003, 06:43 PM I would suggest www.exa-bytes.com, they have W2K03 hosting networm 11-24-2003, 07:50 PM Check out http://www.CanadaWebHosting.com. They got support for Win2k3. henhen 11-25-2003, 01:56 AM are they a specialist in windows hosting ? amitabh 11-25-2003, 01:05 PM I am not sure that you will find a dedicated Windows hosting provider, if thta is what you are looking for. Most of the good ones also provide Linux/Unix hosting. Here are a few more www.weberz.com www.matrix-reseller.com Apolo 11-25-2003, 08:46 PM Have a look at www.maximumasp.com They say their support staff is all either MCSE or MCSD, and they offer only Windows plans. Of course, they are not cheap at all. Greetings, Eboy _______________ henhen 11-26-2003, 10:34 AM thanks for all.. lookinforW2K 11-26-2003, 01:12 PM I would like to mention www.parcom.net I have some accounts with them for about 2 years, they have worked great. Support is via email, it is not the fastest but it is very effective. They have upgraded their servers to W2K3. |
