Got these 2 views in the forums - just curious to know from techie guys like Tim/others - what are your experiences?
"Plesk is more stable and has more features then Ensim. Ensim has servere sendmail problems......
i have used Ensim for a few months now, my clients can surely tell you the extreme problems with Ensim. Sendmail drops out nearly twice a day"
--
"not sure why some people think there is a problem with ensim and sendmail from what i can see its the two are far less tied together .I have also run plesk 2.0 and it simply isnt capable of doing what we need in a webhosting solution, .."

I understand wh needs vary from host to host but just asking which is more failproof ( or zero failure) in terms of mysql php sendmail and admin/control panel.

1. You cannot create name-based subdomains via Ensim.
2. You cannot create MySQL databases via Ensim.
3. Ensim's control panel structure is confusing for some clients whilst Plesk has a simple GUI and is easy to use and configure.
Just some thoughts, btw sendmail really has servere problems with Ensim :D

It depends what your going for.
I would go for Ensim if you were managing a whole network.
Plesk would be good for a per server basis
Also ensim did patch sendmail.

hi JBIZ718
that was a good piece of info.Actually I wanted to know from the enduser ( webmaster on a shared hosting plan like $ 10 per month and 3 to 10 gigs transfer) point of view. Also any idea whether one can use phpmyadmin ( which comes inbuilt with cpanel)in Ensim in the same way as cpanel to create and manage mysql tables.
I am also curious to know what are the real differences between Ensim,Plesk,Hsphere etc etc - are these various hardwares or difference in softwares ..... know it sounds dumb

I don't know where you get your information but none of this is true.
1. Yes you can create name-based subdomain via Ensim. I do it everyday.
2. Yes you can create MySQL databases with WEBppliance LS.
3. Although I admit Plesk has a 'simple' interface, WEBpplinace does more and does it better.
Sendmail does not have problems in the Ensim product. I use it everyday and do not have these problems.
Remarkable

hi remarkable - thanks for the info.
I got the information ( part 1 ) from
Hostexp - valuablehost
and part2 of the information from Keeg in the advertisement forum ( > Changes at tera-byte.com also known as OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW)
Is WEBpplinace something like cpanel ? can it be used on any Unix /Linux server ?

WEBppliance Ls currently only works with Red Hat Linux 6.2

First of all
LAst time i checked Web Appliance LH came with server xchange.
LS is there standalone product.
Plesk blows away LS in many ways, and doesnt compare to xchange because they are entirely two different ideas.
I think LH has many faults, and though ensim is not bad, i think Plesk currently has it beat
