I am starting an online hosting biz, and want to do nothing but please my members. I need some type of control panel that will work on a windows 2k OS. Please post some feedback. I will appreciate it.

PS. If you know of any FREE Control panels for win 2k that would be better. :-)

About the only 1/2 way good one is hostingcontroller.com that i have used..

Im installing it on my server right now. Will it give my users an admin page to set permissions, file manager etc?

Yea and a lot more 1.4.1 just came out i am testing it now.. Seems much better then 1.4... 1.5 should be out by the end of this month they have said..

There are very few control panels, for Win2k and none of them are free.

Hostingcontroller is the cheapest one of the lot!!

If you had read the hostingcontroller site, before downloading it, it does say that it is a demo.

From memory, there is some kind of very low end CP from microsoft, dont know what it is called and have never tried it.

Dam, oh dam! I really need some kind of control panel software for my servers. My monthly overhead is way to dam high, and I need to get things going or else im going to go out of business before I even start. lol. So I take it that there's no control panel that is free? ......and HostingController is the lowest out there? LEt me know.

PS, I want to do nothing but provider the best support, and services. So I want the best one out!

If you want the best one out there, then make your own, it is the only way you will get what you want out of a CP.

You all say Hostingcontroller is the cheapest, what other ones are out there for win2000, I know you have Microsofts WebAdmin that is full of bugs, hard to get going but it is free.

Anybody know of others worth mentioning please post them here, hosting controller is ok but it takes forever to get any support from their forum or their email, their help section is contradicting and you can't use FP2002 extensions.

This almost sounds like you will need to write your own control panel and if it's a good one sounds like their is a market for it.

Yeah, but <<EDIT>> is releasing a stand alone version that a rep told me would be out in Novenber. So you won't need the <<EDIT>>. And I remember that the price was pretty good, but can't remember off hand what it was.
