Is there any place that offer lease-to-own dedicated servers that you can custom build yourself? cause I see many server that have 19gb hd.. when I want something lesser.

You might also want to see about buying the server and colocating it.

wow those server is cheap!! but are they reliable?
and what do I need to know before I get a dedicated server? cause all i know is how to work cgi,htaccess, html, the basics.. and that all..

Is there some stuff i really need to know before getting a dedcated server?

Can we all agree that the answer to this question is, ummm YES! I'd go into every detail, but I don't have 2 weeks to spare at the moment :)

I think dilatoneinternet.com also had a lease to own offer of some sort, though it isn't too easy to find.. I believe it is under "SERVICES" (within the dedicated or colo features pages) if it is still there at all...

Yes you do need to know some basic admin stuff even if you have a control panel. w/0 the control panel you need to know alot of stuff :)

I've had a server for 9 months over at Superb Internet, 3 more months and that baby is mine. Then I just pay colo fees.

accually the control panal is not a concern.. but lets say the server go crazy.. then I am in trouble.. but do you people like minitor the servers.. not just if the hardware is working .. but if the server in that machines is also workign properly

Most places including us offer a monitoring service where we will monitor ports on your machine. If one goes down it will email or page you.
