Hi, i have several dedicated servers in providers such Verio and Comunitech.

Now, i have my own Datacenter, and i want to migrate those servers, to local servers on my country, Argentina.

Does anybody knows, any utility, to acomplish that task, such making an image of the hard disk of the dedicated servers, and after that, transferring through the network the images to my local datacenter?

I found several products, but no one, allows to create the image from Windows 2000, all of these, ask to make the image in DOS mode, and i cant do that.

Any help, will be appreciate.

Thanks in advance,
Ricardo A. Ghigliazza

Yup or drivecopy or driveimage from powerquest might work.

Thanks, but those programs, do not allow the user to make the image from within Win 2000 GUI.

A bit off topic... ignore at will.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend doing this. If you have three different companies configure three different Windows 2000 servers - they are all going to have different layout and different security patches.

I would built three new servers up. A good Windows 2000 server install takes only 3 to 6 hours, including all patches -- and that is doing it by hand. If you are doing three systems at a time, it only takes about 15 extra minutes for each system. And then you know they are all three identical when the next Code Red virus hits :)

You can use Drive Image from PowerQuest

Puedes usar Drive Image de Power Quest, este programa trae incluso una opción para crear imagenes de un disco duro en una red.
