View Full Version : Reseller Pricing...

I'm currently toying with a modification to my current pricing.

At the moment my resellers pay a base rate of £10/month and then £5 per GB of bandwidth over that (unless they've negotiated a better deal, which one or two have, which is fair enough - they're using a decent ammount of b/w)

The new Idea I had was to implement a sliding scale of pricing based upon this (So under 10gigs it's £5/gb, 20>30 is £4/gb etc upto about 50gigs). I also thought about selling a "block" of bandwidth i.e. 10 or 20 gigs, and not charging those customers the base rate fee (as it's included in the block).

My thinking for selling the blocks is that some people won't use all of that block, and as such i'd make a couple of quid extra. Of course, there will always be some that use over that block and they get charged at a lower rate/gig as detailed above (Comes down to about £2/gig).

Would love people's comments on this! It's a completely dif. direction from me (In fact, I launched my resellers because i didn't like having to pay for bandwidth inside a plan and being limited by that, and I also wanted to stay away from the mugs game of unlimited bandwidth)

Mods: I'm not intending it as an Ad, if you think i've worded it wrongly, please delete it!
