What would be a fair price for a RAQ 4 with 64M memory and 10G drive? This is a new server.

First off, I would recommend you use no less than 128 Mg of RAM at the VERY least, but I would say $225 a month would be more than enough on a year contract for a company to realize a profit, and also not to put you in the poor house. This assumes a reasonable amount of bandwidth <40 GB of bandwidth monthly.

i think he's talking about buying, not leasing.

NyteOwl:

Cnet shopper (http://shopper.cnet.com) shows a RaQ 4 450mhz/64MB/10.2GB for $1149.95.

However, they also show a 450mhz/128MB/20.4GB for $1289.99 - that's a lot of upgrade for $150.

There were tons of RaQ's on Ebay - you might check that out too!

JKLIVIN: mmmm, seems a lot sonsidering Raqshack's fees. :(

dutchie: yes I meant buying not leasing

nudetravel: those prices don't look too bad, thanks :)

I had been shopping eBay for a "cheap" rack case for another project when I came across a Raq4. but they wanted almost $2000 for it which I thought a bit high. Seems I was right
