Hi there..

This is kinda hypothetical, kinda not..

I have a large site, 1600+ active users at a time during peak times (5-7 hours a day?) with 500+ during other times, I'm not sure on exact hits and such, however what ways would you suggest advertising to make enough money off of these sites to make them fund themselves?

Very heavy database usage on these servers, so they need some strong hardware.

Google AdSense. It can be found at https://www.google.com/adsense/ with plenty of information there.

You have to be careful if you're going to go with advertising companies because of problems with them paying out what is owed, if they ever pay out. Google is a reputable company though and I've heard of people making pretty good money with their program.

I would suggest you give a large amount of free advertising space to the first host other than Coach to reply to this thread.

adsense is certainly proving profitable to those in this thread :)

I think you would get more money if you get people to advertise yourself.
It also depends what topic your site is on, its more likely you would get more money from advertisers if your site is for webmasters then if it was an off-topic forum for example.

I have seen a lot saying google is a good option but I have been put off doing advertising for other companies because I had major problems when I went through CJ
