There has been a lot of deaths.

I feel bad for all people who had their lifes taken away. No matter if they were workers, owners, or just tourists.

GOD BLESS....:crying:

Why do celebrities get more attention and respect than all the other innocent people?

Josephp,

I doubt you know me... :) I just moved here in June from Michigan.

I own serveral websites -- 1 running completely (private) and several I'm working on.... and I'm starting up my own hosting co. soon -- still working on my site (I'm too much of a perfectionist) - seems like it will never finish.

There was a CNN correspondent apparently on the one that hit the Pentagon, she apparently managed to phone her husband by locking herself in a toilet just before the plane hit, its claimed her last words were "what do I do?".

Listing possibly around 10,000+ deceased or missing persons' wouldn't exactly be easy. The reason why celebrities are more publicized, is because more people will recognize them, what they have done or are involved in. I don't believe this is an act of more honor, respect or feeling or loss or tragedy over someone unknown the the general public, but just that it's how the media works. Hearing Joe William Schmoe was one of the dead, will have just as much as an impact as saying someone famous or known would, but the masses won't know about or relate as well to knowing of someone that has been lost... in a media sense, I mean.

Thanks for clearing that up Tim. Actually mine was a rhetorical question, one designed to get people to think. It seems like in this media-driven world only celebrities get the attention and sympathy. But we must sit back and remember those unknown faces that have died also.
