Other people say that they are bombing themselves..other people say the US are bombing..nobody knows

CBS said it was some Afghanistan Opposition thing there, not the US. Who knows though. Today and the rest of the week is going to be filled with problems. I think someones trying to get WWIII started... Don't know if the other thread had anything on it, and I'm not about to read through it.

CBS just confirmed it was not a US attack.

(also, sorry to the mods for joining in on the new thread... it's just so nice, short, and easier to read & respond to)

On CNN, they just said that President Bush will address the nation at 9:00 pm....at that time, we will learn if the US was bombing Afganistan.

This is getting quite ridiculous. All day long i've been hearing people, news broadcasts, etc. rambling on with false statements and presumptions. Let's wait for the facts, not jump at every moron throwing BS around on the news. :angry:

CBS is being good about it though. The guy made sure to state that they try their best to bring the correct information but sometimes the information they are given isn't correct and if they find any falsehoods they will correct the given information. I'll wait for the 9:00 statement from the president though.

Considering the afghan government was taken over by the teleban recently, internal conflict is quite possible. As for world war 3, I think that is highly unlikely considering every major world power has condemned the acts of terrorism and expressed their sympathy for the US during this time.

While the power of the Internet enables everyone to be citizen reporters, myself included, please do not take things into your own hands. Information passed along as being "official" can present grave danger for many who choose to listen to it and take it as fact.

Coming from a journalist who also has experience within the Intelligence Community, please do not take providing media coverage on such events as this.

The attacks on Afghanistan were NOT U.S. attacks. There is an on-going civil war in Afghanistan and this is common place.
