The offer:
If you are serious about a Rackspace.com server, I can tell you to get a dedicated server at Rackspace for $200 per month (+1 month setup fee). This is for their entry level Win/Unix server and is $169 off the standard hosting platform.

As a token of honesty that this isn't a scam or E-mail harvesting effort, I will share the method and what you are asking for here. I would REALLY appreciate it if you allow me to refer you. (I get a discount on my own services).

The details:
Rackspace is acquiring other data centers. What they are guaranteeing in these new centers is 99.999% uptime instead of 100%. I have been very impressed with the service - it is simply Rackspace in newly acquired facilities.

So, again, if you are serious then let me refer you!

Send E-mail to rackspace4less@yahoo.com

When I send you a confirmation of the referral, I will include additional information on how to reduce your costs with them. (A few points on how to negotiate your contract for less money!)

Send me an E-mail at rackspace4less@yahoo.com with the following information:

First name
Last name
Email or phone number

I will forward this to Rackspace via their referral method. I will NOT submit this information to ANYONE else. PERIOD. I am only interested in referring a few people to Rackspace to help reduce my costs and spread the gospel of their fantastic services.

Thanks.

Any hosting offer posted must contain a URL to the provider's website. The provider must not list a free email account (e.g. hotmail.com) as a point of contact for those interested in the offer. Violation of this rule section will result in suspension from the 'Advertising Forums' and the post being removed.Oh look, he only managed to violate 2 rules. Looks like we'll be getting yet another 'account disabled' title.

Insert 'fishy' smiley here :)

this may actually be true. rackspace does provide discounts to people who refer clients and there are definitely certain possibilities there in terms of negotiation. the guy wants to share, but also wants to get a discount on his own stuff - cant blame him at those prices =]
