Hi WHT'ers !

I have decided to give my super-duper domain cobaltweb.com for rent - domain name only. I don't want to sell it unless someone sends me a really cool offer. You will be able to assign your own DNS servers, so all http and mail traffic will be yours. I will make up a contract for this so that all is done honestly. When you rent the domain, you will have the first option to renew it at the same price - all will be in the contract. It runs until you cancel/stop paying.

These are my minimum prices (cobaltweb.com) :
month-to-month contract : $20/month
six months prepaid : $17/month
twelve months prepaid : $14/month
If you want to bid more, the highest bidder will receive the contract with the option to renew until cancelled from your side.

Please let me know when interested.

I am not sure but is it ok to rent domains?? Never seen anyone do this..LOL Since you are all ready kind of renting it and don't really own the domain..

Well indeed, it may sound a bit bizarre... But it's just like renting a dedicated box or reseller account and offering it for rent :)
I've never done this before, but I already received some positive mails :)

Aloha
I have been seeing this more and more since domain prices have fallen a new trend seems to be leasing/renting domain names ?
I am not sure how many people are actually doing this or what the contracts are like for future ??
my thougths would be to view the contract if you got your name going on a rented domain and 3 years down the line the owner wanted to charge $2000 a month ???
what would you do ???
and Mango I am in no way saying you are, or were thinking of doing this ;)
it is just how I would think ??
I guess the idea is out there but agian I have not heard of anyone doing it ???
I would not like to rent my business name ???

but good luck in doing so

Honu, I'm sure you make a good point there.
And that's why a good contract would be required, which guarantees first right to renew and stable renting prices.

Honestly, the domain is just sitting there which is a shame. I thought of running my own web hosting company up to a year ago but decided not to do so. Then it would be a good deal if it made me some money and were a good brand for any company at the same time. I know that a lot of people don't like to spend for example $2000 at once, so here's a chance to spread it over any period you'd want.
