I use around 1GB a day and i want to be on a virtual host I can't affored a dedicated and wouldnt know how to use it even if i could pay for it. Im searcing for a virtual host that offers 30GB to 40 of bandwidth a month the only one i could find was tera-byte they offer 40GB for only $27.50 a month well how can they be so cheap and offer so much bandwidth all the other virtual host i can find dosent go over 20GB of bandwidth and they want around $50. a month.

I really like the looks of host rocket but they only allow 15GB a month and charge $10 for every GB over there max 10 bucks a GB isnt that high? I love there control panel any other host have one like that if so who!! it looks so simple to use.

I like tera-byte but i don't like RaQ's or else i would go with them does any other virtual host offer what they do that wouldn't host your site on a RaQ? I only need 50MB of disk space. I used to be on a friends RaQ and the CPU never went over 0.25 for 15min at my peak hours.

What do you guys think i should do any comments would be helpful :)

If you do a search on Tera-byte you'll find quite a few of us host with Tera-byte and love the place. Don't ask me how they can afford such bandwidth - I wouldn't have a clue ;)

I can understand why you don't like RAQs, but really Tera-byte's about the highest it will allow in terms of bandwidth (apart from shonky unlimited hosts). And I can't really think of any other virtual host being so generous with bandwidth. The next step up is definitely dedicated servers.

$10/gig of bandwidth is at the 'high-ish' end of bandwidth costs, but it's still quite acceptable. Plenty of hosts charge more.

Its easy to offer bandwidth that cheap. Just cross your fingers and hope 99% of all your clients don't use half of it :)

Keep in mind Tera-Byte isn't a host using Alabanza or colo'ing a server at Dialtone. When you run the NOC, you can offer some better pricing.

Well, first I'll start out by saying that I can only recommend Tera-Byte - excellent value for money...

Right, about bandwidth charges: well, $10 is not the cheapest around, but I have definitely seen higher. My all time favorite has to be this host: http://www.ez2ba.com/html/hosting_packages.html - scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see the price. First time I saw it I was sure it was a typo, but no, it's still there: $40 for 500Mb extra, that's $80 per GB!!!!!!!!

Well, it's maybe ez2ba.com - but certainly xpensive2ba.com too ;)

On another board there was someone who had the overage of 10 cents per MB (factoring out to $100/GB). Long story short, the smack was laid down and the host changed it to $5/GB. Power to the people :)

That site makes OLM's $20/gig over look like a bargin.
