What is the pricing per mbps for a T3 from AT&T?

What is pricing on GigE's for:

Level3
UUNET
QWest

What are those 4 carriers going at currently?

Im being told AT&T is $200+/mbps at even an oc3 commit - I cant believe that.

Someone a lil more informed help me out please

AT&T quoted me $3600/mo for 3 bonded T1's, and that included the line lease. of course that was to get it piped to my office for a WISP I was thinking of starting up.

I dunno what they would be in a datacenter.

Level3 will go to sub 50 on a Full gigE.
UUNET is at 60~70 on a Full gigE, I'm assuming Qwest is about the same.
ATT is at about ~80 on a Full gigE

I'm just guessing this from the last time I chat with agent selling transit.

Are you trying to price out what cybercon pays in St. Louis?

These prices are fairly accurate. Slightly aggressive, but close enough.

Yes, I am MFJP - I have a client I am trying to close a deal on, and I was looking for more approximate quotes.

You mean 100Mbps commitment on a Gig line?
Or a 1,000Mbps commitment?

On a full Gig-E AT&T is about $80-$90. OC-3 pricing is about $150-$200. :)

Level3 is Sub $50 on a Gig-E.

Qwest is about $70.

If you play your cards right you can get UUNet for about $50 on a Gig-E.

At some location, UUNET would go for 50/meg --> Such as market post tower, but it's location specific.

Here are my guess for 100Mbps
Level3 - $125 Direct, $70~80 thru agents
Qwest - $150 Direct
ATT - $200 Direct
UUNET - $180 Direct

These pricing maybe on the high side, but it does cost more to go direct with the carriers. I'm assuming you just called up the carrier and ask for a pricing. If you even call up HE.net tomorrow and asked for 100mbps, I think they'll tell you it's 100/meg too. Of course, knowing someone makes a difference with these carriers.

Mfjp - you seem to know some about St. Louis and Cybercon - is there any reason what so ever, that the carriers would be charging them a whole lot more than everyone else?

Mrdredd, you gotta understand there are many things that can be done to BGP to archive a lower cost per mbps.

But it is local, (minnesota) and they do have excellent support, and I have 24/7 physical access to the boxes.

Though you get the benefit of handling the machines, I would most definately suggest doing colocation remotely. We had considered a more closer base for our operations, but could not justify spending 6-8 times more just for it being close.
