How do i set up an email for a sites user on a RAQ 4 sbrad 09-10-2001, 03:18 PM In the Site Manager, click on "Add User". Haze 09-11-2001, 12:12 AM There username becomes there email address, which I find is a really annoying feature of the cobalt server. Gerrr. seattlite 09-11-2001, 12:52 AM of course, you can setup email aliases to "take care" of that problem, but I agree, I dont like the way the user/email/ftp config works. NewonNet 09-11-2001, 02:28 AM Does anyone know the url for the Raq manual? I use to have it but lost it. It do believe it's in pdf format sbrad 09-11-2001, 02:34 AM http://www.cobalt.com/support/pdf/raq4manual.pdf seattlite 09-11-2001, 02:35 AM beat me too it sbrad... But here is a list of manuals that cobalt has. http://www.cobalt.com/support/resources/manuals.html Honu 09-11-2001, 03:27 AM Aloha one thing to remember if you use the name "info" and you have multiple domains you will not be able to add another user named "info" the workaround would be to put something like wht.info (for a website like webhostingtalk.com) I use a 3 letter code before to help seperate now you can then make a alias for that user and then have multiple dominas that will have a email such as info@domain.com when your user sets up ther email rememer you would use the wht.info as the user name alias's are not recognized as a user name ;) sorry if this sounds very basic but figured would include it in the thread as I am sure I have seen this asked elsewhere. |
