can someone help me with this,

my client created a subdomain (over 48 hours ago) and the DNS zone and httpd.conf look right but it won't ping...

did you try nslookup using the authoritative NS? (the nameserver that has the zone info)

that'll will tell you right away whether you even have it set up correctly.

try checking it from www.dnsstuff.com

see if your nameservers has updated correctly or not.
