I have this weird error.
I CAN download a file when I click on a link to the file, but when I type in the url, it gives me an error and doesnt let me download the file.
Attached is an image of whats happening. Anyone else have this before? Any help in getting rid of it?

It may be checking for a referrer and blocking you if you try to get the file otherwise.

Verify the link is actually the correct link. View the source ;)

it is the correct url. I right clicked on the url, and copied and pasted it into the browser from the link properties box.

If you can show us the page that has the link on it, we might be able to figure it out.
I know what you are talking about. Just last night I tried to right-click and save a smiley from NamePros.com and it gave me that error. I had no clue what in the world was going on. I ended up just doing "Save As.." and saving the entire page.

It's a client's webpage. Don't really want to give out their identity or website here....

Im lead to believe this is a system config error. I thought maybe someone had this on their server and would be able to help me out.

no this is not an error , it is some technique that will prevent hot linking and direct downloading the stuff without visiting the web page.
